Software Development Engineer (Java & C) (m/f) Based in: Almelo (Overijssel)

Our client develops telecom solutions for telecom providers. On the basis of new technologies and market demand we develop telecom services and interception systems; in other words Communication Services and Network Forensics. Network Forensics solutions are wiretap solutions used by authorities to tap into communications of suspects. Communication Services are the services offered by telecom providers, such as video, text messaging and voice services. General It is the responsibility of the Software Development Engineer to realise development projects in accordance with the agreements with the (internal) customer and, where necessary, resolve software-related problems in the platform. He/she must have sufficient (technical) knowledge and be able to apply it in a practical and effective manner as well as distributing it within the company.

Function profile

• Analysing and interpreting functionality requirements;
• Designing and developing/modifying components of the platform;
• Resolving software-related problems of customers;
• Implementing, testing and integrating components in the platform;
• Formulating the development and maintenance documentation; 
• Selecting of and advising on the use of new technologies and methodologies.
• Production requirements and competencies
• Minimum education level is HBO (Higher Professional Education), for instance Computer Sciences;
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbal and written;
• Comprehensive experience with Java and/or C;
• Knowledge of Oracle database;
• Good communication skills;
• Work experience is preferred;
• Maximum home-work distance 100 km;
• Works well as a member of a team.
